We are lucky enough that we have a NHS service that subsidies dental treatments in the UK and standards that are second to none. However what happens when your treatment goes wrong or you do not give consent to a procedure that leaves you in pain or needing more corrective work? Sometimes an apology is not enough and you want to complain about the dentist who carried out the treatment.

Whatever the circumstances, if you feel that your dentist has acted negligently or has left you in unnecessary pain or suffering then you need to call Mercury Legal right away on 0800 122 3130. Time limits apply when making a claim for compensation against negligent dental treatment so its important that you contact us straight away.

Making a dental complaint

If you have a complaint about an NHS dentist, then the NHS has its own complaints procedure. However, you should first make a complaint to the dentistry or clinic where your treatment was carried out. Ask for their complaints procedure and make your complaint in writing or by email. If you feel that your injuries are minor and short term then you try and resolve your complaint with the clinic or dentist directly.  They maybe able to correct the mistake or resolve your complaint.
